This course is a continuation of Health/P.E. 8 with emphasis gradually shifting from team sports to more individual and dual sports. Also, prevention and control of disease, consumer health, environmental health, first aid, medical self-help, and Family Life Education will be studied.

This course continues to emphasize individual and dual sports. These sports provide the student with the opportunity to participate in lifetime sports or those sports that have carry-over value for an individual. Health activities offered in this course include health careers, mental health, Family Life Education, drug awareness, and stress management.

11-12 Prerequisite: Successful
completion with a
"B" average or better in Health/PE 9 and 10.
This course will target overall physical fitness: cardio-vascular fitness, flexibility, strength and muscular endurance. Emphasis will be placed on stretching, running, weightlifting, and aerobic activities. Team games, individual sports, introduction to lifetime activities and health guidelines will be taught.
