Marching Band

Grade Levels: 9-12           Prerequisite: Middle School Band and/or approval of director.

This course is offered to students who wish to achieve a high degree of proficiency in performance. This group performs at football games and in competitions. This course is offered during the fall term only.

Concert Band

Grade Levels: 9-12       Prerequisite: Marching Band and/or approval of director

This is a course in concert performance which acquaints students with master composers and compositions, classical, symphonic, jazz, etc. It is offered during the spring term only.

                                           Credit: 1 unit

Advanced Chorus-Term 1

Grade Level(s): 9-12    Prerequisite: None

In the Fall, the Concert Choir studies music theory including major and minor scales, intervals, and ear-training.  Students study sight-singing and perform music from various musical genres.

                                        Credit:  1 unit

Advanced Chorus- Term 2

In the Spring, students study music history from the medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic, and twentieth century musical periods.  Students study sight-singing and performance music from various musical genres.

                                        Credit:  1 Unit

Chamber Choir

Grade Level(s):  9-12     Prerequisite:  Concert Choir, Audition

Chamber Choir is made up of the most advanced music students.  Students meet after school to practice music from all musical genres.  They perform in concerts and at community functions.  All music is  aucapella.
