structure of this course will include the growth of democratic government with emphasis on
the U.S. and Virginia Constitutions, the operation of the government, and the economic

Advanced Placement U.S. Government

Advanced Placement U.S. Government and Politics presents students with an analytical perspective on government and politics in the United States. This distance learning course involves both the study of general concepts used to interpret U.S. politics and the analysis of specific case studies. The course study will include the various institutions, groups, beliefs, and ideas that constitute U.S. political reality. Through curriculum and similar testing procedures, this course will prepare students for the Advanced Placement College Board Exam for U.S. Government and Politics. This course is taught on the Electronic Classroom and is a year long course. It is taught in conjunction with AP English on the Electronic Classroom.
